I work at the intersection of Open Science policy, Diamond Open Access, and responsible research assessment, mostly across European research infrastructure and the social sciences and humanities.

Based in Athens, Greece. I work in both Greek and English, and my writing tends toward the practical: policy briefs, training material, and the connective tissue that helps open infrastructure actually get used.

Doctoral research

Academic libraries as
Open Science infrastructures.

My PhD examines how academic libraries function as infrastructures for Open Science, centred on a comparative analysis of Greek institutional repositories.

The work sits within Archival, Library and Information Studies at the University of West Attica. It looks at repositories not only as technical systems but as organisational and policy actors: how they are governed, what they make visible, and how they connect Greek research to the wider European open infrastructure landscape.

Background

Before the PhD, my 2021 MSc dissertation examined Plan S and scholarly communication in a UK context, drawing on qualitative interviews and covering the Rights Retention Strategy, transformative agreements, and DORA.

Teaching & training

Training and supervision on bibliometric and Open Science tools, including VOSviewer and Biblioshiny, and supervision of student research in scholarly communication and bibliometrics.
